Detox With Nature
A Two-Day Immersive Experience in Mindfulness, Play & Environmental Discovery
Our Detox with Nature programme is a refreshing two-day experience designed to help students disconnect from their devices and reconnect with the world around them. By intentionally placing their handphones aside, students discover that joy, curiosity, and meaningful engagement can flourish naturally—without the constant pull of digital stimulation.
Set in the vibrant greenery of West Coast Park, this programme combines mindfulness, hands-on exploration, traditional play, and environmental education. Students immerse themselves fully in nature, awakening all their senses as they rediscover what it means to be present, grounded, and connected.
Programme Highlights
🌿 Nature Immersion & Sensory Exploration
Students explore the greenhouse environment, learning about various plants, herbs, and mosses. Through touch, smell, and close observation, they gain a deeper appreciation of nature’s textures, scents, and ecosystems. This sensory-based learning encourages calmness, curiosity, and emotional grounding.
🌱 Kokedama Plant Activity
Using traditional Japanese gardening techniques, students create their own kokedama—a moss-covered plant ball that symbolises balance, growth, and mindfulness. This hands-on activity teaches patience, creativity, and care for living things.
🪴 Plant & Animal Discovery Walk
During a guided nature walk around West Coast Park, students observe local flora and fauna, identify species, and learn how plants and animals thrive in Singapore’s natural environments. This encourages environmental awareness and a deeper sense of connection to the world around them.
✨ Seed Mandala Creation
In this grounding and creative activity, students design their own Seed Mandalas using a variety of natural materials such as beans, lentils, and seeds. Working on paper plates, they create faces, patterns, or meaningful designs by arranging and gluing the seeds mindfully. The Seed Mandala is often a favourite because it blends art, nature, and mindfulness in a simple yet powerful way.
🫧 Giant Bubbles & Play-Based Expression
Through joyful, hands-on play like making huge bubbles with their hands, students experience freedom and lightness. These moments create connection, laughter, and pure presence.
🎯 Traditional Singapore Games
Students rediscover the fun of heritage games—building teamwork, resilience, and social connection through activities enjoyed by generations before them.
🔎 Scavenger Hunt Adventure
Teams embark on a nature-themed scavenger hunt that strengthens observation skills, collaboration, and problem-solving. This activity opens their eyes to the hidden beauty and details of the natural world.
